I'm positive Henry pushed the button. There we only 3 clicks of the hieroglyphics, as opposed to the 4 in 'One of Them', and the power-up sound did not last as long as it did in 'One of Them' either.

If you want proof here are videos on youtube
WARNING: I haven't read the comments myself, I suggest you don't either, spoilers are no doubt to be had. Don't read the related videos or let the video run to the very end either, as that shows related clips too and they might might show spoilers but I haven't seen any myself, thankfully.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adyANNBNHn4 - One of Them
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICsGudYWNhQ - Lockdown

Anyone notice the sub 10 seconds alarm is different in Lockdown btw? Why?

The print out suggests the button has been pressed around 41,602,127, which I calculate to be around 8000 years, which is obviously a load of tosh.

41,602,127 x 108 = 4493029716 (running time in minute)
4493029716 / 60 = 74883828.6 (hours)
74883828.6 / 24 = 3120159.525 (days)
3120159.525 /365 = 8548.3 days (years)

I don't think I've made a mistake so I don't know what's going on here. The count should really be around 117,000 (if it's been going since 1980).

Thats right that does appear to be a count of how many times the button has been pressed, so every 108 minutes will add a one to the itterations, so thats at least 41,602,127 times that the numbers have been entered succesfully!
Ahhh, yeah that must be it. But there is a string of numbers, then a colon and another number, wonder what that could be?

Original, I didn't here that Apollo theory thing! Good spot.

I assumed it was the time remaining before the counter reached 0?

Wow, so that is a load of rubbish! So does that mean it's not a count? That it's something completely different? Or maybe just a random number meaning they aren't keeping count at all which may indicate the numbers are meaningless.

Oh yeah, that could definitely be it. I am so slow at trying to spot these things!

Well it definately appears to be a count to me, i just don't know what it started from or what it is counting. I just looked at the report again on wiki, and the number after the colon definately isn't the time left -
As you can see, the number after the colon is the exact same every time if you look down vertically. Oh well.

Wow, yeah, you're right. Maybe it's a new set of numbers? From a different hatch. Maybe all the hatches are doing something with numbers, that's why there are all those different screens - one for each hatch. And the reason why only one was on may be because the watchers only keep track of one hatch at a time. Also, that could be why the orientation vid was so vague, so they could just use one video.

Sorry to go off on a tangent, just what randomly came out of my brain!

That orientation vid was cut all over the place again.

Makes you wonder who is doing this,

could the 'others' be seperate from dharma. and cutting the video's on purpose.

The computer [in the pearl hatch] had the Swan logo, so it's something to do with the swan

Perhaps something to do with the magnet, its certainly a measurement - and something we can't see [from the camera(s?)] as 'they' were told to write everything down. Maybe its all hooked up to some masive recording, and this is how long it's been running, or how many times they've had to change the 'tape' lol

I dunno, naturally you'd think it was something to do with the numbers but I'm not sure. You would have thought the video would have mentioned something about it....

I love that way the roles were reversed. John is the NEW Jack, for e.g. when Locke said he didn't want to watch the tape again a la Jack. This Eppy was full of de-ja-vu wasn't it?

Maybe Yemmi isn't really dead - we saw him shot and that's it. Maybe his body was a fake, i.e. not Yemmi.

Henry wanted John to go with him, so he was making him believe that the Swan is pointless to get Locke to leave the Swan and join the O's.

Made me jump when Libby woke up and splirted blood out. Everyone should go on you tube and wattch the trailer for the finale, its awesome. You'll p!$$ your pants, well........probably.

Yemmi and Ana Lucia are being portrayed by imposters. It' not really them. Most likely Cerberus is posing as them in their dreams so that the Losties see relevant people in their dreams, i.e. people they will believe.

*Post edited. Please remember that alluding/confirming or otherwise to future events on Lost also constitutes as a spoiler. Thanks, KoR*

Also i reckon that maybe the last people observing the swan from 'the pearl' were watching to see if michael carried out his task successfully of killing Ana and they left as soon as it was complete..
True. Would explain the cig bud still smoking.

Yeah that does seem like a count of how many times the button has been pushed! And I do't have a single clue as to how many years that could be!
If that is a number count, then those numbers are entered at all anywhere, i.e. like the Swan has 4 8 15 16 23 42.

What do you mean 'clicks'?

When is the finale, week after next?

When a sign on the counter flips over, it makes a click. See the sound when it goes to 108:00? That noise, except singular.

I think we have an episode next week - a gap - then a double episode season finale. Don't hold me to it though

And you'll not get anyone watching the trailer here - what with this forum being 'spoiler free'

So we found out that the 'island' did sacrifice Boone [as suspected ] but that there was a deeper reason for it than just there mere strengthening/testing of Locke's faith.
Some interesting ideas there. Just a point about the above - I thought we learned that the island didn't sacrifice Boone at all: his death was completely pointless and unplanned, because the hatch that the dream apparently wanted Locke to find was on the ground, and the Beechcraft was entirely incidental.
You could be right but I saw it differently, in that the island [or whatever force gave him the dream - eg the dead] used Boone in the dream and took away the use fo Lockes legs so that Boone would go up to the plane and make it fall [or was it helped over?]. So the plane falling was part of the design in my view..Boone died as a consequence of it falling. Whatsmore it just so happened that the plane fell on top of the hatch.

"Teresa falls up the stairs, Teresa falls down the stairs" - This is a subtle yet criss reference to Boone's sacrice..in that he had to go up to the plane..in order for the plane and eventually Locke and Eko, to go down inside the hatch.

Also if the beechcraft was incidental then why would it have been in Locke's dream? I just think it was meant that one day EKo and Locke would come back together to find the hatch..afterall, it did appear that Yemi was able to link both of their subconciounces
I meant it was incidental in itself: it just marked the spot where the hatch was.
Ah i see what you mean. I still reckon that it could have been toppled intentionally. Though im open the other theories on this.
