Default "I'm very disappointed in all of you"

I got the impression Esau was talking to the Others [not Sun and Frank], and he may be disappointed with them for MANY reasons.

One reason I can think of is Flocke's comment to Ben in S5 that the Island would not have wanted them to move into the Barracks.

I wonder if at some point, the Others followed Esau and NOT Jacob?

Can anyone think of reasons as to why he said this?

Something to do with The Other's following Jacob instead of him - simply that's the way I see it!

Or perhaps he bestowed power onto Jacob, who then abused it, and through magic laws he then couldn't kill him, so Jacob took control to do things his way, and now Flocke is angry because The Other's followed Jacob, following the rebel, the betrayer, knowing full well what Esau had done for Jacob.

So yeah, they shouldn't have been following Jacob for whatever reason = angry monster Flocke!

Perhaps the Others chose Jacob because he has the ability to heal, which in a sense, goes against Fate/Destiny. Whereas Esau believes whatever happens, happens - but the Others disliked Esau for this.

I am increasingly thinking that Esau's actions have been provoked over many years, rather than the idea that he has always been a bad person. If he just wants to go home, then I can sympathise a great deal with him. Though, I need to understand the picture a great deal more.

I agree with this is Was it my imagination or was Locke talking about having Electricity and stuff like that ?? It sort of reminds me of Elsa (The women who Sayid was sent to kill/get information from) and her boss how he only liked "Old Fashioned things" and how i think she was working for Widmore. I don't think Widmore's part in the show is anywhere near over so maybe that has something to do with it.

I cannot remember if he went into detail but I think that he what he was alluding to.

That is a really good spot freckles, I had forgotten about that. I wonder if there is a Esau connection here.

I am not so sure that Sayid was killing Widmore's men, atleast not all of them may have been - i.e. I think Ben was using Sayid for other murders too. But if Elsa's Boss is Widmore, I think this is interesting because I think Widmore knows about Esau and so if they are both old fashioned, it could be a hint that there is a connection.

Oh definitely. I think Widmore likely has a grudge with Jacob and is likely to side with Esau in this War that everyone keeps talking about. I could see Esau disagreeing with Widmore's banishment and they both have something in common - they both dislike the Others. Assuming Widmore holds a grudge against them all.

I think much like Jacob has investments in people in the real world, I bet Esau's loophole stretches far and he has also formed a team of sorts. I think his loophole does not merely comprise of killing Jacob and that there is a much larger picture at hand. Obviously, we know that Esau wants to go home and Jacob is the FIRST step toward achieving this.

"Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you" originally made me believe it was simply a grudge, but it seems now that it is necessary for Esau to go home. Though, I suppose before 6x01/02 I did think Esau was after complete control of the Island and/or to win the Game.
