Oh yeah. (But I still argue the principle behind the post!)

He does appear to be a healer though Reed! Apollo was a healer too and so was Jacob. I definitely think the Apollo Bar was a clue!

Apollo The Sun God was a mortal medical healer who was so successful that he was reputed to have the ability to bring the dead back to life! Don't forget that Jack did this with Charlie - believe me, Charlie was a goner - even Kate told Jack to give up but he wouldn't.

I really like this theory. Although the name of the candy bar is not real, it makes sense that the writers would have its name hold some significance. Especially when it is shown quite often during key scenes. Nice catch MA!

I love the fact that you totally called this. I also liked the fact that I believed it! LOL Cheers MA

Yeah I remember your support KatesFate. I just hope we don't wind up with egg on our faces!

Lots of people thought Locke was special but now he's been called pathetic! But his body is still lying around - perhaps he still has a chance to be special!

Cheers, MA

I really hope so, I think Locke's character deserves so much more.

I think there is a chance that Locke will be revived at some point.

Apparently in Lighthouse, Jack's son took out a bottle of something with Apollo on it from Jack's fridge.

Apollo, god of the Sun

Looking at this link again it says:

The arrows of Apollo and Artemis invariably killed and the Greeks explained epidemics of diseases by supposing that they were shooting their arrows at people; and so, by praying to Apollo, the epidemic might be made to stop. In this way, Apollo became associated with the cure of diseases.

Is Jack gonna be able to get rid of the 'infection'?

Such so-called cures led to a myth in which Apollo was thought to have had a son, Asclepius (as KLEP ee uhs), who is better known under the Roman version of the name, Aesculapius (es" kyoo LAY pee uhs).

Funny that a son has turned up for Jack in Lighthouse!!!

It says Apollo is associated with law (The Book of Laws?) philosophy and The Arts. The Arts included music and both Jack and David play the piano. He is also The God of Music - ditto!

Apollo had a twin!!!!! Does Jack have an unknown twin? Could it be Desmond? See you in another life brotha? Twins don't always look identical. There are identical twins and fraternal twins - fraternal twins won't necessarily look alike.

I can't help laughing. I'd LOVE this to be true that MEP's beloved Des is twin to Jack!!!!

Cheers, MA

This sounds very familiar.

So Apollo was causing death, and yet people prayed to stop him shooting arrows?

Interesting that Apollo 'cured/healed' - like Jack.

Wow, the idea that the Sickness can be cured is a brilliant idea and even more great that you say Jack may be able to rid the Island of it's Evil or at the very least, cure individuals of it. Perhaps this is why Jacob feels he is very important.

Oh yes, good spot regarding Jack playing it also. I would agree that Jack is a follower of Law.

Well, either it is Desmond - or Bernard. I can only imagine Bernard and Jack embracing, as Bernard sobs and Jack feels awkward. Bernard is a Dentist and Jack is a Doctor - so it may not be too far fetched.

I think if we look at the Parents and connections between certain characters in Lost, we may find out what is plausible and what is not, regarding who could be related. Jack may have a Half Brother, afterall he does have a Half Sister. Perhaps this a spin on the story of Apollo.

I wonder if Daniel could be Jack's twin? Daniel is musical too and very dark haired. He is also a Man of Science like Jack.

I'm terrible on ages so I don't know if Jack and Daniel are the same age. Maybe Eloise Hawking was carrying twins? Perhaps Widmore wasn't the father as he thought?

Ray Shephard did not like Margo so perhaps Christian had another lady friend at one time?

Cheers, MA

From Wikipedia:

Apollo had a raven which was once snowy WHITE. He turned it to BLACK when he was told of his lover's adultery while carrying his son!

Mythology

See the story at constellations Crater and Hydra.
Once the crow had beautiful silver or snowy white feathers and could speak to humans, but that all changed. As Apollo's sacred bird, the crow (or Raven) was told to watch over his pregnant love, Coronis. Coronis slowly lost interest in Apollo and was attracted to a mere mortal. The crow, who was secretly spying on her, reported her unfaithfulness to Apollo. In a rage of anger he unfairly turned the loyal raven's feathers black and took away its ability to speak. Coronis was killed by Apollo's twin sister Artemis. The child of Coronis and Apollo was rescued and raised. He then became known as Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing.

Lots of healing and black and white references here.

Cheers, MA

Ah yes, Daniel played the Piano also. This could mean Eloise and Christian had Daniel. I think Christian and Margo are definitely Jack's Parents however.

Faraday is quite old - well, Jeremy Davies was alot older than I originally believed.

But would this be a little sticky in terms of too many related people within one small group of people? We would have the likes of Penny, Daniel, Widmore, Eloise, Christian, Jack and Claire being closely knit - one having family relevance to another's relative.

I think Apollo's Sister, is Claire in Jack's case.

White bunnies also comes to mind.

I am tempted to apply this to Lost but we might be focusing on it too much if we did this.

Have to say I watched Lighthouse again today and I couldn't see anything about Apollo on anything David took out of the fridge but my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Whoever spotted it must have x-ray vision. But the similarities with Jack and Apollo still apply.

Cheers, MA

Juliet's husband is hit by a bus with an Apollo logo on the side.

Does this mean Jack replaces him in another timeline?
