Great to see Ana again! She was looking great, must be the afterlife..
It was interesting to hear her tell Hugo: "You've got a lot of work to do" This must be the 3rd or 4th time that we've heard that phrase (or similar) now, the other (that I can think of) being the from Yemi (to Eko), Walt to Locke and Christian (to Vincent). Other than going back to the island and doing 'something', i wonder what this "work" entails? "Libby says hi" ![]() I wonder what makes Hugo more prediposed to visitations than the others? He's rather 'beacon-like' in the way that he allows Charlie, Eko, Lulu (etc) over from the other side. |

And in the end he didn't listen to Ana Lulu - he did exactly the opposite of what she said, he got arrested rather than go back to the island! I guess he chose to believe Sayid's judgment more than the dead friends who keep visiting him
or maybe he remembered Ben's earlier shenanigans on the island (even though they seemed almost friendly when they shared the Apollo bar at the cabin!). But really, Ben has only himself to blame - when you've spend so much time lying and manipulating people and playing mind games, you have to expect that many will not be willing to trust you!

That's a really great observation. I think he chose to side with Sayid because Ana Lucia is a ghost, and he has been hearing from ghosts for a very long time. Maybe he wanted to stick to the tangible rather than be called crazy again for listening to a nonexistant person.

This is the ultimate question isnt it Roco? What is their job on this crazy island? What are the handful of them suppose to do? Are they suppose to free Jacob? They cant be there to only save the island. The island wasnt really in all that much peril before they got there. The crisis seemed to really start when they crash landed. Were they there to save the island from Ben? Or to help Ben?

Hurley does come across as being quite childlike in his doing/not doing what he is told and trusting people too easily and his ability to get along with everyone so I wonder if his childlike thinking makes it easier for his mind to be open to these "visitations". maybe Dave was a real person who had died in santa rosa and he was a vision rather than part of Hurely's imagination

Actually, I'm begining to think all the spirits are one person. And I believe now the woman in the church is that same person, the spirit of the island. Perhaps a sentient Nano-AI.
