Sorry if this is being talked about in another thread... But how do you feel about the possiblity that Miles is Hanso's baby son in that episode where he is filming one of the orientation videos.

Got the idea from this guy Al Trautwig (Knicks/Rangers Commentator) who does a weekly video blog on his theories and commentary on the show... Dude knows his stuff:

You mean Chang's (Candle, Halliwax etc.)? Yes, I think it's been discussed.

Alvar Hanso is the Danish tycoon whose organization sponsored Dharma. I thought you were suggesting Charlotte or someone else was a descendant of Hanso.

Something I noticed was that the Mother referred to the baby as the baby, not he or she, so maybe Miles is too obvious a choice, and it could be a girl???

From the Comic Con 2008 video we know it's a boy. When a baby is heard crying, Dr Chang says to a woman "Take him outside!"

I wouldn't love to find out that Miles is the Hanso's child. It just doens't fit to me, it would be unnatural in some way. I know that almost everyone in LOST are related, but I would just love to see at least one character who's past remains mystery and unveiled. Or revealed but that it has nothing to do with the rest of the crew.

I think Miles may be a possibility, but I agree with Magnovey; I wouldn't be too thrilled with it either.

So many people have said that, but he looks Oriental to me.

As has been mentioned in this thread and in other threads, I agree that it's most probably Miles. Miles has a connection to the island, he's a medium who's powers seem right at home on "craphole".

The writers could be trying to trick us into assuming that it's Miles, but as with the obvious Michael story-line last season, I think this one is without smoke and mirrors.

If this is the case, I'd be interested to find out how Miles came to leave the island (did past-island Faraday take him off? ..which would pose questions as to which version of time-travelling Faraday is the 'original', since, according to him, the past cannot be changed). Or does skipping through time make all possible time-lines happen all at the same time, rendering 'time', literally, 'time-less'?

Also, what became of his father (and mother), he was a demonstrative little bugger

ComicCon is this big comic book convention that gets held in LA and NYC every year... as far as marvin or chang or whatever they're calling him nowadays, I just can't keep track

I think Miles knows a lot more about the island than he's letting on.
